Beagles Encounters by Jason, Sujitra, and/or Max (in chronological order)
- Doo Doo We met this guy at Fashion Valley sometime in 2005. He was impatiently waiting outside while his mommy bought some items at Bath and Body Works. Silly dog name, cute dog though.
- Star We met her as she was finishing her walk, and we were starting ours. She lives somewhere here in Pines of La Jolla.
- Sierra SLO beagle! We came across Sierra as she was out on a walk in San Luis Obispo with her parents.
- Reginald or Reggie Jason knows the parents of Reggie... his daddy is Jason's boss, so to speak. We have yet to meet the little guy, but we know quite a bit about him. He can count to 10! Update!
(12/16/06) Jason and Sujitra have finally met the infamous Reggie. It is very obvious that he is in full control
of his house. He even barked at holiday guests to leave (without the food). Even though he's a bit sick, he's
still not out of it -- stealing and begging for food.
- Mozart and Sebastian They currently reside somewhere in Paradise Court (our future home). Jason encountered them as they were set on their evening walk. Maybe Max will play with them!
- Rambo I saw this guy (10/15/2005) standing outside of the local Marshall's. He sniffed my sneaker! He looked young and slender with a red collar.
- Striker (1/30/06) Third Paradise Court Beagle! Jason had the pleasure of meeting this guy while walking to NSC. From Jason's description, this guy was full of life and loved having the back
of his ear scratched. Edit: Jason and I just saw Striker 3/31/06 taking his evening walk around Paradise Court. He was soooo full of life, and loved the attention we gave him. Looks like Striker and Max
may be related if we pick up Max from Victorville, CA.
- Barney and Casey (3/16/06) Jason and I were out on our walk to the Von's down the street, and we spotted these two coming toward us.
They were two successful beagles (i.e. fat -- got many snacks in their prime). Casey couldn't help but bark at anything, and even reared up on her hind legs to greet me. Jason was all over
Barney.
- Bagel (6/18/06) We spotted this girl down on the RIMAC field after Revelle's commencement ceremony. She licked both of our hands. Great way to leave UCSD.
- "Stan" (7/1/06) We thought we weren't going to spot a NYC beagle, but as we headed out of Downtown on a bus headed to the Chinatown bus, I spotted this
beag in front of Pace University. His picture can be seen here. We also saw a beagle in a Benz at Dupont Circle in DC.
- Buddy (7/15/06) Jason and I went to Dewey Animal Shelter out here in Las Vegas, in search of a beagle puppy. Instead, we met a 2 year old
beagle named Buddy. It broke our hearts that we couldn't bring him home. But if anyone out there has beagle experience and is in NV (oh heck, in the southwest region),
please check out Buddy! I have confidence that he will find a great home to go to.
- Kylie (8/21/06) Another Paradise Court beagle! Kylie lives right behind our street and often barks at Max while taking
walks. I think she's jealous. She's a lemon and chubby.
- Zuma (9/13/06) Jason and Max spotted them only once during a morning walk. Also a lemon, and so chubby she wasn't walked with a leash since
she has no chance of running away. Another Paradise Court beagle.
- Brooklyn (10/6/06) We all met her at the Black Mountain Hospital while dropping Max off to get fixed. Tricolor.
- Mystery Beagle (11/23 and 11/30/06) Yet another beagle in our neighborhood! We've seen this pooch from a distance a few times, but
can never get close to greet him. We're all curious to meet this hound!
- Pepper (12/2/06) A senior mixed beagle, we see her often at the dog park on Saturday mornings.
- Molly and Whiskey (no relation)
